New Requirements for Protecting God's Children

Protecting God’s Children – New Database and Requirements At the begining of this year the Archdiocese of St. Louis developed and implemented a new database and requirements for the Protecting God’s Children Program. Now, the new database is called Prevent and Protect STL. EVERYONE – All Employees and volunteers (who have contact with children or vulnerable adults) MUST register and complete all the requirements of this new program If you are a new employee or a new volunteer to the Protecting God’s Children, you will need to attend a two-hour class (somewhere in the Archdiocese of St. Louis), plus complete all of the requirements for Prevent and Protect STL. All these requirements will be on-line. In addition, all the two-hour classes will be listed on-line under the Prevent and Protect STL website. If you were previously registered in the former Protecting God’s Children program, you will NOT need to attend the two-hour class, but you must complete the all the requirements in the Prevent and Protect STL program. Again, these can be completed on-line.

As part of the All Saints School/Parish staff or volunteer, please go to the website to enroll in this new database and complete all the requirements for this new program, to ensure that you will still be in compliance with the Protecting God’s Children Program. This site is a web-based platform that will provide important information and training beneficial to you. To begin, go to www.preventandprotectstl.org and then click the registration link on the front page.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING REGISTRATION: On the All Saints Website home page, there is a picture with a Protecting God’s Children label. Click on the picture and it will take you to a page that has instructions for completing the :Prevent and Protect STL” registration. There are several steps to the registration process:

  • first, register on the site. During this part of the registration, you will be prompted to select when you took the Protecting God’s Children class (or a new registrant, you will be able to register for a class).
  • Second, submit information to request a background check;
  • third, there are two on-line training modules you need to complete; and
  • fourth, complete the Code of Conduct training module and electronically sign the Code of Conduct.

All Saints will automatically be notified once you begin the registration process and have completed the process. It will also send you emails each week until you complete all of the training.
