In an awards ceremony on Sunday, September 20, Brad Rigdon was recognized as the Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Man of the Year for 2020 with Archbishop Rozanski presiding over the awards dinner. In its fifth year, St. Joseph Radio has hosted the event asking for nominations of men who offer their services on behalf of Christ. Brad was All Saints' nominee this year.
Brad admits that he has "lived in the coming-of-age" season for the laity. He and his wife Jan worked together in serving others and were two of the seven people who initiated the World Wide Marriage Encounter Movement in the United States. The Catholic Man of the Year award represents his years of service from both coasts of the country and extending to Rome although most of his work has been in the Saint Louis area. Now retired from archdiocesan volunteer positions, he continues to serve in the parish.
