Does a flower long for its time as a seed?  When a tree has reached its tallest height, does it wish it was buried back in the dark earth?

"Behold, I am making all things new." (Revelation 21:5)

At a time when we have experienced an abundance of newness, we can be tempted to long for the comforts of the known, the expected and the safe.  When God invites us to renewal, it can be easy to say, "I'm fine the way I am."  However, God is always calling us toward something greater.  A seed may be safe in the earth, but if it doesn't say "YES" to undergo transformation, we would never benefit from the beauty of its flower.

As we enter this Lenten Season, we can reflect on this past year, acknowledge how it has changed us and accept God's call to something new and greater.,  His plan is not free of growing pains, and the suffering is obvious.  But like Jesus, who said "YES" to the cross and rose to a glorious new life, we too, will be made new.

Don't let  weather or COVID restrictions prevent you from participating in the Parish Mission.

All Lenten services will be LIVE-STREAMED on Facebook and YouTube!
