Regardless of what lies ahead in your journey, Jesus Christ has promised to be with you every step of the way, to bless you, to guide you and to give you hope.

We never have to feel hopeless because nothing comes as a surprise to God. He knows. He cares. He has a plan. In the gospel of Matthew (6:8), Jesus encouraged his followers by telling them, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

This is God. The Lord of the Universe. He knows your name. He knows your circumstances and he wants to take you by the hand. “For I am the Lord, your God, who grasped your right hand; it is I who say to you, do not fear I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13

The reassurance that Jesus will help us to cope with whatever is troubling us is found in St. Peter’s first letter when he writes, “Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Jesus knows exactly where we are, what we need and how much we can handle even in a dark moment. St. Paul explains it this way in his letter to the church in Corinth. “God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Our Heavenly Father repeatedly offers us hope and encouragement in the Scriptures. Just look at the wellknown verses in Jeremiah 29:11-14. “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you … plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope … when you look for me, you will find me … and I will change your lot.”
