COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

MT 101 Foundations of Catholic Morality is a study of the foundational principles of moral theology and the fundamental moral teachings emphasizing that the way of Christ “leads to life,” as described in Part III of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This course will be an examination of the nature, sources, and methodologies of Roman Catholic Moral Theology. “The first and last point of all moral catechesis will always be Jesus Christ himself, who is the way, and the truth, and the life.” CCC 1698
