Weekly Wednesday Prayer for Immigrants and Refugees at the Mercy Conference and Retreat Center

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me. I was ill and you comforted me, in prison and you came to visit me. I assure you, as often as you did it for the least among you, you did it for me." — Matthew 25:35-40

The MCRC Community has elected to open our chapel every Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm to anyone who wishes to come and spend some time in quiet prayer for immigrants and refugees. This will begin on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

All are welcome. Please come and hold our human family in prayer until we see a more positive change in the ways in which our country receives and welcomes immigrants and refugees. There will be prayer cards available for those who wish to use them. At 6:00 pm a bell will sound to indicate that the time for prayer is coming to a close.

Immigration is one of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas 5 Critical Concerns. “Believing in the dignity of every human person, we work for just and humane immigration laws in the U.S., address policies that push people to flee their countries, and examine the global impact of immigration.”

Please spread the word. Thank you.
