Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick:

September 9 &10 In the Church's Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, through the ministry of the priest, it is Jesus who touches the sick to heal them from sin – and sometimes even from physical ailment.

We will offer this Sacrament on September 9th at the 5pm Mass and September 10th at the Noon Mass.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a serious illness or the frailty of old age, or if you are soon to have a major surgery, we invite you to participate in this sacrament.

When you arrive at church, approach a parishioner with a name tag who will then seat you near the end of the aisle for the Priest to anoint you after the homily.

When the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is given, the hoped-for effect is that, if it be God's will, the person be physically healed of illness. But even if there is no physical healing, the primary effect of the Sacrament is a spiritual healing by which the sick person receives the Holy Spirit's gift of peace and courage to deal with physical difficulties.

Jesus, heal us!
